Inspired Gaming are by no means a major company on the market, but they do have a wide catalog of releases to their name already. In this review, we’ll examine their game called Secret 7s. It’s not particularly complicated, but it does have one nice idea in its Colour Spins, and it’s worth kicking things off by saying that it takes place on a small playing field with 3 reels, 3 rows and 9 fixed paylines.

Although Secret 7s came out in the second half of 2023, its graphics are painfully simple and reminiscent of those old-school slot machines that you can still find in various pubs and clubs. Crucially, there’s no real theme here, and the game really is all about 7s, in a sense.

The volatility level of Secret 7s is medium, and there’s no official info about its actual jackpot. We can, however, tell you that you can enjoy the action for stakes between £0.10 and £100 per spin. Unfortunately, the entire package comes with a low theoretical RTP of just 94.01%, which is two percentage points below average.

Secret 7s Slot Features

There are only 3 types of symbols in Secret 7s - sevens, Wilds, and Bonus symbols. Sevens are the game’s pay symbols, and they come in three colours - red, yellow, and blue.

To get to the Free Spins feature, you have to land a set of 3 Bonus symbols in a single spin. Then, you’ll get a set of 10 free spins, and you can also find special +1 symbols to get more free spins added to your tally.

Now – all free spins come in the form of Colour Spins, which means that all sevens land in the same colour, giving you a much better chance of getting nice wins. Colour Spins can also appear at random during the base game, but they are pretty rare.

You can then also use the Fortune Bet option, which increases your bet by 50% in exchange for a higher chance of triggering Colour Spins in the base game. What’s more, with the Fortune Bet option on, all Wilds double as Bonus symbols, which means that it’s also easier to trigger the Free Spins feature.

Finally, there’s the Spin Chance option that triggers whenever your bankroll drops below your selected bet level.

Review Summary

Truth be told, we aren’t impressed by the Secret 7s slot, and we can’t really recommend it to anyone. The concept of Colour Spins is fresh, don’t get us wrong, but it’s wrapped in a painfully basic visual package, and the slot’s math model is also well below average. Unless you’d like to see the Colour Spins idea in action, feel free to stay away!
